This fantastic piece of BMW design history is an awesome visual upgrade to your sedan, touring, or coupe (if you use just the fronts and use the fabrics from the rears to adapt to your coupes) interior.

A brief history on the design edition; this is not Mtech! Many people see the M Rain type pattern and assume this. However, the design edition was a trim option BMW offered in the early 90’s initially with a small batch of convertibles. The exterior colors were pre set to vibrant red, green, blue, and purple with matching interior cloth color fitted to sport seats. These cars were all 318i’s or 316’s with manuals. The convertibles were such a success, they continued this concept in wagons starting in 1993. The goal for this trim was to appeal to younger crowds with hip and bright colors whilst using base trim “poverty spec” cars to maintain affordability. So if you ever see design edition interiors on any car that is not a 316 or 318 wagon/convertible with a matching exterior paint code, then its not original!

Anyways, had to get that rant out of the way. Condition of the design edition fabric is fantastic on this set. Good colors, minimal signs of wear and only light dirt marks which can be easily removed. All of the handles are solid and clean. Vinyl trim is clean and clear apart from some gouging marks (see photos).
