1991 BMW 324TD Touring *SOLD*
Our first retail available turbo diesel e30 touring! Thrilled to announce a brilliant example of a hard to come by wagon, this touring will be a fantastic addition to anyones fleet. The car just made a 6 hour journey on the autobahn averaging 91mph whilst getting fantastic fuel consumption numbers. This vehicle also shows German H registration (Historical) which requires a special level of condition in order to qualify.
This is a 2 owner vehicle, daily driven by the most recent owner hence the higher mileage of ~177,000 miles. Vehicle was driven with sheepskin seat covers its whole life so the grey cloth comfort seats are in very good condition. Apparently nobody has sat in the rear, seat condition seems to agree with this. Drivers seat has a very small tear (1/4 inch) with a tiny wire poking out, this is the extent of all the damage to the seats. Dash is crack free, all electronics work inside even the original radio, however we’re still working to get it functional. This car does come with the factory luggage cover. Manual windows up front, manual in the back as well. Manual sunroof with no leaks.
Engine runs and drives beautifully. Looks to have an aftermarket muffler installed. Stock mechanically with zero signs of ever being modified. Vehicle sits on sought after 15 inch BBS basket-weaves with summer tires. As stated above, this car is ready to go as it sits. Timing belt replacement was done and recorded roughly 17,200 miles ago. Car cold starts beautifully when following the lights on the dash, which alerts you when the engine is primed. Turbo noises in every gear with loads of pull and ample torque. Clutch has a very late grab and is slightly finicky, so this may be an adjustment matter or maybe clutch slave. It does not affect the drive-ability at all, we’ve put around 100 miles on the car since arriving. One headlight bulb is out as are fog lights. All other lights work perfectly, as do the other electronics (wipers front and back, check panel etc).
Paint is fully original all the way around with some respray work on the lower portion of the driver and passenger front doors. Light signs of surface corrosion on some of the arches (see photos) but nothing concerning. Rear hatch has corrosion that is not visible with it closed. A skilled body shop could have this repaired with ease. Generally very solid car with easily fixable corrosion.
Vehicle will be offered for sale as is in our shop in Portland Oregon with the price of $15,500.
