Our first ever right hand drive E36 compact, and its manual! Japan was never given the option to have a 5 speed E36 TI, however this particular car has been transmission swapped by a prior owner via a pallet of parts from a RHD compact in England. A full, period correct, Racing Dynamics aero kit was fitted by the Japanese BMW dealership when the car was new. A factory optioned M Rain sport interior is in great condition, all electronics in working order. Zero rust or corrosion.

Interior: Our favorite E36 spec, back again. M Rain cloth over Napa Leather bolsters is a fantastic combo that never goes out of style. Front and rear seats are in fantastic condition, no rips or tears. Manual adjustments mean no failing seat motors and a few extra pounds shaved off. Dash is straight, as is glove compartment and lower storage. Aftermarket head unit with AUX plug as well as aftermarket rear speakers which work great. Cluster is fully operational, as are all other electronics. Heat is hot, AC is cold. Windows work perfectly, as does sunroof. Some loose trim near the sunroof button control, nothing serious. Door cards are healthy, no warping or failing glue. Racing dynamics shift knob and door sills make for a lovely touch.

Exterior: Original panels and paint are in amazing condition, some paint fade can be found on the rear bumper, particularly the drivers corner where a bit of cracking has occurred. General signs of usage/age can be seen in the form of a small ding (which can be cured with PDR) and misc scuffs. However it is worth noting this particular car is exponentially cleaner than the standard US spec e36. No clear coat failure or major damage/scratches. Racing Dynamics wheels fit the kit perfectly, rear spoiler included.

Mechanical: This m44 has been babied, and it shows. Engine fires right up with no odd noises, smells or leaks. Every gear has plenty of go from the entire Rpm range. No misfiring or rough idle, no suspension concerns either. This e36 sits decently stiff however can handle pot holes and bumps with ease, this is not too low to where it will scrape, however one should angle over larger bumps regardless. Aftermarket exhaust sounds amazing, but is shockingly quiet. Transmission and clutch are tight, the AC Schnitzer short shifter is notchy but not too aggressive. All in all this car could road trip or daily drive as it sits. E46 330 brakes are the perfect balance of OEM and BBK, predictable but not overly aggressive. Steering is tight, balanced and has no pulling or veering.

All in all, this is a great E36 compact and likely the only one of its kind we will see. This interior/transmission and aero combo is unheard of. So get it while you can!
