Looking for a E30 project that you can daily as it sits, but loaded with fun/rare bits? Well look no further! This is the perfect “clean slate” base for a build, sporting ultra rare early model AC Schnitzer parts. This particular E30 runs and drives great, and has fully functioning electronics all around. Throw some dished, gold, BBS RS’s on this thing and you have a show stopper!

Exterior: The original paint on this particular E30 is hit or miss, certain body panels have a heavily weathered patina (that may be appealing for some), while others are healthy and clean. The panels however are straight and original, which would be a great canvas for a respray. No major dents or dings on this car. This is a slick-top model so no malfunctioning sunroof issues to be had. There is no rust on this car, door bottoms are healthy, as are sills and other typical rot spots. The underside has been coated with an anti rust treatment. The AC Schnitzer front valance is in great condition, albeit the paint is flaking off. Schnitzer Side skirts are also in good condition, as is the matching ACS rear valance. These parts are very hard to come by. The later, facelift model, is a much easier part to source. These early model kits fetch premiums in mixed condition. Standard fitted euro bumpers and headlights are in fantastic condition.

Interior: The good ol’ blue houndstooth comfort interior never misses, in great condition with no major rips or tears up front. This is a low mileage e30 and it shows. Rear seats show some wear in the stitching, as per usual with the lower bench seats. All manual seat adjustments work perfectly. Dashboard previously had misc cracks that were filled, which means this dash is ready for a flocking or respray. Cluster and instrument panel is clean and original, outside of an aftermarket radio. This radio works fantastic, utilizing factory speakers (we were shocked how nice the sound was). Bluetooth is available and works great. Blowers are healthy, with hot heat and cold AC! Electric mirror adjustment motors work fantastic as well. Windows are functioning on all four corners, as is central locking using a the original BMW key (with matching original leather Japanese dealership tag). Trunk area is in great condition and fully original, a very close to complete and unaltered tool kit is present as with a factory spare, jack, emergency triangle etc. Carpet is healthy, and blue!

Mechanical: Someone really loved this car overseas, because this is one happy M20. She fires right up with zero smoke, odd noises or hesitation. An aftermarket exhaust makes for a deep and sophisticated 6 cylinder tone. No leaks, drips or smells from this car. A timing belt service sticker is present and within mileage. This is a stock m20 mated to the 4 speed automatic which is shockingly smooth for its age. Manual gear selection works great for winding the m20 out. This E30 is lowered on springs and shocks of unknown JDM origin, I would assume that a prior owner had this car on dished 16’s, as it sits low enough to tuck them perfectly with no modification. Although this car is quite low, it rides shockingly smooth. Cooling system is spot on and holds temperature perfectly, steering is exactly as expected from an e30, as is the iconic handling. All in all, this car could be daily driven as it sits.
