1997 BMW 323i Individual *SOLD*
1997 BMW 323i Individual *SOLD*
Fresh in on consignment! We imported this touring for a local individual who is looking to clear up some space. Car is in great running and driving condition, ready for its next home. We see this one as an amazing daily driver, auto cross or track weapon, or even a canyon cruiser.
Mechanical: 2.3 liter inline six engine is bone stock but likely sports a tune, as there is a slight burble on deceleration. No leaks or loss of fluids, no smoking or odd noises. Car fires up immediately without hesitation. Plenty of power through every gear, linear and smooth up to the higher RPM range. Transmission and clutch are very tight, definitely a short shifter has been fitted. Clutch seems to be recently replaced as it grabs with loads of life. Fresh fully adjustable KW coilover suspension has been fitted with less than 2,000 miles on them. Recent thermostat and coolant flush has been performed. Central locking works beautifully from the key fob. All windows minus the passenger front window function as they should (passenger front will need a new regulator). Aftermarket exhaust gives the car a throaty burble, sounds lovely with the windows down. Vehicle currently sits at 139,000 miles.
Interior: BMW Individual black leather sport interior with rear child seats (can fold flat when not needed). Seats are in beautiful condition with minimal imperfections. Entire interior is very well put together with usual signs of wear from a vehicle of this age. Current owner had a custom head unit installed with bluetooth, touch screen. Air conditioning blows cold, heat blows hot. Rear seats fold flat and make for a hefty amount of cargo space. Headliner in decent condition with fabric missing on the sunroof (sunroof is functional). Vehicle does have a slight odor of one of its past owners smoking inside, however we will be doing an ozone treatment on it prior to sale as well as a deep shampoo of all carpet.
Exterior: Montreal blue is a crazy color, it can be dark navy in some lights and purple in others. This E36 wagon is a great spec in that it sports a factory M Sport kit with M sport skirts and front/rear bumpers. Hood has some scuffing around the center area as well as slight denting, you have to be looking for it to see it. Body itself is very straight, no major dents or dings. Some panels in the nose appear to have been repainted but blend quite well. We did a light cut and polish and the car really shines. One piece of trim is broken, can be easily replaced. Rear plastic m sport valance is slightly crushed due to the aftermarket exhaust sitting high up. Rust isolated to the rear hatch (not fully structural, would be a straightforward job for an experienced body shop) as well as one of the rear arches. Some light clear coat failure on select areas; top of passenger side doors/passenger sill.
Vehicle will be offered with a clean Oregon title in the buyers name. Available for viewing by appointment only.
