1987 BMW M-Tech 1 318i *SOLD*

$0.00

Our second factory fitted M-Tech 1 appearance package E30 has just landed from overseas! This car is very special in that it is likely the cleanest e30 we’ve had our hands on. We would have to guess that this car was a single owner, and sat for many years indoors whilst overseas. Upon arrival, we performed a minor paint correction. Vehicle is currently with our mechanic getting a factory refresh.

1987 BMW 318i (M10) automatic coupe, slicktop, Diamond Schwartz Metallic over grey houndstooth comfort.

Interior:

This car is a time capsule. Fully original, mint carpet and dashboard, no odd smells or noises. Headliner is tight, seats lack any sign of rips or tears. All electronics operate as they should, including the radio antenna that raises and lowers accordingly. We did notice the SI board of the gauge cluster may have some moisture as the coolant temperature needle bounces around angrily. All other instruments operate as they should. Odometer is frozen however we have reason to believe it froze during the cars lengthy storage. Radio is functional, blowers are functional. Car comes equipped with air conditioning but will need a re charge. Heat blows hot.

Exterior:

Paint is in miraculous condition all the way around with zero signs of respray or clear coat failure. Some scratching within the paint from what we’re guessing is boxes resting on top are evident, however you must be looking for them to see it. Body is straight with the occasional small ding from being 30+ years old. There is an odd bulge on the passenger side of the roof, almost like a very strong old man shoved his cane into the roof, so much so that it protrudes upwards and damaged the glass in the passenger visor. The other noteworthy damage is the rear bumper is arched in slightly, however this can be pulled out via PDR. Otherwise, car is absolutely gorgeous. The euro bumpers show zero corrosion, in fact the whole car shows zero corrosion. Underneath its clean enough to eat off of.

Mechanical:

Full refresh was just sorted by our local BMW specialist shop, including addressing a coolant leak and rough idle. Car fires right up with the iconic mechanical M10 start up noise. Fresh battery. All lights work perfectly. Transmission is tight, no odd noises or hesitation. Engine does not show any signs whatsoever of burning fluids or leaking. Bone stock, zero modifications. This ones ready to go!

With the recent work we have put into this and given its condition (of the kit and the car itself), we have this one listed at $16,000. Please see our financing page if thats a route you’d like to go. Vehicle will be sold with a clean Oregon title in the buyers name.
